tonight I'm unsequentially 'reading' these 4.

Mad in Translation is insane, 2 pages of explanation per very short poem because the Japanese imagery is so layered, and quite a lot 'vulgar', which makes it even more fun.

Shobogenzo is my old friend and I adore Dogen's depth. Book 3/4. I'm reworking my way through. My last longform was on one of the fascicles from book 3.

The other two are filled with short encounters; one with Lin-Chi and the other with Huang Po.
